Ah, our babies. And yes, the funnest part was conceiving them.
If you don’t want to hear that part, jump down to the link that takes you to our Inklings site (currently rebuilding it) where you can peruse and purchase at length. Otherwise, sit back and grab a hanky.

My most memorable birthday as a kid was the one that began with a treasure hunt. My first 10-speed Schwinn was hidden in our shed out back and my dad (thanks, Dad!) had crafted up some hilarious clues that lead me around the house in search.

I had these in mind when I made a little hand-made treasure hunt for Mati back on Valentine’s Day 2000. Not only did she love it as much as I had as a kid, but within the hour, we were at a cafe sketching ideas and brainstorming.
Eight years later, it was hatched, with five different varieties to suit just about any age or situation, all capable of working in any typical dwelling.
Bringing the idea to fruition was reward enough, but Inklings was also featured in the Print 2006 Regional Design Annual. Pretty cool.
