THE ORIGINAL (BEFORE) LOGO

Jersey Mike's

Way back in 2004, we reworked this famous Jersey Shore sub shop’s logo, menuboards, packaging, signage, wall graphics and a 7’ x 14’ mural. At the time, the chain was only 300 stores strong—mainly East Coast. 15 years later, they’re worldwide and still using most of the branding we created. Our mural has been on the wall of every JM I’ve been in.

THE ORIGINAL (BEFORE) LOGO

When we started the project, the original logo (below) was a mix of different font styles that didn’t all hold together well. The task was to keep the friendly flavor of the original logo, but simplify and strengthen it.

EARLY ROUNDS

EARLY ROUNDS

By rebuilding the word Jersey to match the Mike’s font, we were able to stack the logo and create a more solid shape. Originally, we explored some Jersey beach town flare; surfboards, flags.

FINAL LOGO

FINAL LOGO

After many rounds and iterations, we finally landed on the one.
