See if this rings a bell: charismatic leader entices a group of friends and colleagues to help create and pull off a large festival in a very short amount of time. Friends assemble team of experts from around the globe who work tirelessly to uphold their end of the deal despite payments being perpetually delayed. Payments never actually come.

Missionfest was meant to be a very inclusive film festival, based in San Fransico’s Mission district. Sounds good. Let’s do this.

For our part of this little Fyre fraud, we created a logo that pushed the inclusive festival theme, a hint of old-school SF brotherly love, and a touch of inspiration from the city’s Muni logo (the city’s municipal railway system). We then wrote a tasty batch of headlines, designed business cards and got a look started for all of the branding.
